After something more exclusive than a standard farm tour? This is your behind the scenes pass into real station life, set on Kingston Station, just a short drive south of Queenstown.
Unlike other Queenstown farm experiences where you’re one of a big crowd, each booking is capped at 20 guests, so the experience stays personalised, hands-on and genuinely intimate.
Your experience takes place on Kingston Station, a 22,000 acre sheep and beef farm rich in history, knowledge and real working farm culture. Our farming hosts share genuine insight into station life, livestock, land management and the realities of modern farming.
If you don’t have transport, book our Queenstown to Real Country experience instead. Return transport from central Queenstown is included, so all you need to do is show up.
“What a treat! Probably one of our best experiences in New Zealand. First of all, it’s an authentic, working farm. The proprietor, Laura, gave a very lively and informative presentation of how the farm works. Got to see trained herding dogs herd sheep. Then we were given lessons in how to crack whips. Watching her shear a sheep right in front of us was incredible too! And finally we got to feed and pet the dogs, horses, alpacas and sheep. Great experience!”
