Located on a private sheep station just south of Queenstown, the Real Country Farm Skills workshops offer a unique hands-on experience where participants are taught a variety of practical farm skills to increase confidence in their abilities, in a safe and supportive environment.
We offer a range of different farm skill confidence building workshops from the Southern Girl Finishing School workshop which is our unique workshop designed specifically to build confidence in teenage girls, through to ladies only clay target shooting workshops and beginner practical skills workshops for adults.
We work with organisations like Stand to help their families have a positive experience, we work with Youth Trusts and other student groups to help young people build confidence in their abilities and we are proud to be having a positive impact in our community.
We believe that many young people today lack self confidence and the ability to think practically. However we also believe that confidence can be earned at any stage of your life and we use teaching practical skills as a vehicle for helping our participants understand that just because they haven’t done something before, doesn’t mean they can’t because adopting that attitude can be life-changing. We have witnessed incredible transformations at our workshops and received some pretty humbling testimonials from people that have not only learnt handy practical skills, but that have truly adopted this attitude and have had a significant increase in their confidence as a result.
It is our privilege and our passion to host these workshops and to find out when the next workshop is, please Follow our Real Country Facebook Page and check out the Events section.
